A tall body volume is a sales argument; but a vehicle spends a significant part of its life partially loaded or empty, and that extra height shows up on the fuel bill as air resistance with every kilometre. Adjustable roof systems resolve this contradiction with a mechanical answer: the roof lowers to the actual height of the load.
The Scientific Basis
Research examining semi-trailer modifications with real driving data has shown that reducing body height — especially at motorway speeds — measurably lowers fuel consumption. A smaller frontal area directly reduces the aerodynamic drag force; the gain grows in proportion to the square of speed.

- Preserving the sealing of door and curtain gaskets when the roof is lowered

- Tracking the current vehicle height against bridge and tunnel height limits
For fleets operating with a variable load profile, the adjustable roof is one of the few solutions that offers aerodynamic improvement and volume flexibility at the same time.
