From Data to Decision
Telematics' value is not in the sensor but in turning data into decisions. Analysis of waiting times, identification of underused vehicles, planning maintenance on actual usage data instead of mileage, and instant location information in case of loss or theft are the areas where the investment pays for itself. The critical question at setup is not hardware but integration: data must flow into fleet management software and customer reports. Start small — pilot in the segment where value is most visible, such as the cold chain or the busiest route, measure it, then scale up.
